This week got to take our first reward lunch! We had lots of amazing elementary kids finish the Diamond Challenge—Sawyer, Keaton, Emmitt, Lexi, Fletcher, A’Nyiah, and Maya! We have a new library pet! Meet our bearded dragon, Sunny. She is named after one of the dragons from the Wings of Fire book series. She’s been in the library a couple weeks now. Students are loving her, and we’ve learned so much about bearded dragons together! She will be upgraded to a bigger tank soon since she has a lot of growing to do. My favorite student question so far: “Can she breathe fire?” ... See MoreSee Less

Pumpkin winners! Last week I posted our amazing painted Storybook pumpkins. RayLee won the middle school contest and Maya won the elementary contest—great job! This week our paper pumpkin winners were announced after students voted last week on a top 3. Sadie Reddin was the overall winner (4th grade Harry Potter pumpkin) and the other grade level winners were:

1st-Israel Hernandez
2nd-Eli Baker
3rd-Mateo Ayala
5th-Dylan Fuentes
6th-Krystina Ipatzi
