One of our Read Across America activities that 3rd graders love is reading the book, After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again, where Humpty Dumpty is scared of heights after his fall, but begins learning to make paper airplanes. After the book, we learn to fold a paper airplane and see whose can fly the best! #STEAM ... See MoreSee Less

Next week is Read Across America Week and we’d love to have guest readers for every class each day if we can! If you would like to read to your child or grandchild’s class, or if you are a community helper that would like to read (firefighters, police, mayor, etc) we’d love to have you! Please email [email protected] if you’d like to read. Each grade has a preferred time each day so I’ll get with you on scheduling if you would like to read to a specific grade. ... See MoreSee Less

The K-6 Book Fair opens tomorrow! It will run from February 23-27!

Students can shop with a parent or adult any day this week from 7:30-8:15 or 2:30-3:30

OR

Students can shop during their library class.

We will also have open shopping times later this week for students who missed shopping during their library class. If you plan to make your child an eWallet to shop, you can go ahead and make it early this week instead of waiting for their library day because when the book fair isn't as busy, I will have teachers send me students who have eWallets already made.

If you've never used eWallet before, it is easy and convenient! Just go to www.scholastic.com/bf/sctuckerelementaryschool and click "Get Started" under the eWallet section and follow the directions. You can add money to your child's account and they don't need to bring anything with them to shop! We try to spend all of the student's eWallet or get it to less than a dollar if at all possible. Any money remaining will be emailed back to your Scholastic account after the fair and can be spend online on Scholastic's website or can be added to a future eWallet for a future book fair. #scholasticbookfairs
